The Mission

Making communities a place to dream again

The mission of the EEI Fund is to provide flexible, affordable and responsible financing and franchise development for community stabilization and retail development efforts that benefit low-to-moderate income neighborhoods throughout the United States.

Overview

Overview

Economic Empowerment Initiative, Inc. (EEI) a non-profit organization dedicated to increasing the minimum standard for financial literacy in America created the EEI Fund for the purpose of providing below market-rate financing and creating a pool of loan capital to participants of EEI’s Youth and Young Professional Feeder Program for franchises and businesses development in urban and rural underserved communities.

The EEI Fund is a certified Community Development Entity (CDE) with the U.S. Department of Treasury CDFI Fund dedicated to providing debt and/or equity investment for franchise, retail, mixed use, technology and business development in underserved communities.

Investment management

EEI Fund manages our investor’s capital according to stringent guidelines established by Opportunity Finance Network, the leading network of community development financial institutions. Security is provided by the pooled risk that a fund provides, loan loss reserves, permanent equity and subordinated debt investments.

How it works

EEI Fund is a select group of successful franchise-owners, entrepreneurs and institutional investors who provide investment capital, strategic advice and mentoring to EEI’s Youth and Young Professional feeder Program to help them achieve market leadership. EEI Fund will seek deal flow with Youth and Young Professionals Feeder Program and retail development projects located in underserved communities.
